I am always so humbled by how amazing all my clients are!! They are beautiful, sweet, friendly, and of course GORGEOUS!! Miss C came to the studio before Christmas for her shoot and we had so much fun, it was like I had known her forever. I am so blessed to meet each and every girl who comes for foxy photos, and I was so happy when Miss C took the time to write a beautiful email about how her experience went coming for her shoot!!
Here is what she wrote:
Have you ever thought of unleashing your inner vixen?What would it be like to experience a “boudoir” photoshoot, with amazing pictures as a result? I have, and I did just that. This is about my journey into boudoir photography and taking an incredible trip outside my comfort zone.
After looking at the jaw dropping photos in Candy and Creams gallery, I had to do it!. But could I?. I look nothing like these girls in the pictures. To me, they all look like models. I’m in my late thirties, have a little extra “insulation”, and like most, feel I have some features I could certainly do without! Oh what the heck! I threw caution to the wind and made contact. The next thing I know….I’m in!. Appointment booked, and no backing out. I hope!
As the date drew closer, the excitement grew stronger. So many things to look forward to. My hair and make up, done by a professional, lash extensions, gourmet cupcakes, champagne, and of course…drool worthy photos. Fingers crossed.
First up…lash extensions, by LASH AFFAIR. Oh goodie!! Maybe I’ll look like a Kardashian? Well…. not quite, but you get the picture. When I arrived at my appointment, I was greated by Courtney. She took me to her studio to begin the transformation. After getting some information on the look I wanted to achieve, she began to work her magic. She was so gentle, I could have fallen asleep. An hour later I was leaving with the sexiest lashes I have ever had. Now I was really starting to get excited! Two more sleeps and it’s glamour time. Oh, I can hardly wait!
Saturday, 5:00 am, and I just can’t sleep anymore. It’s the day of the shoot and the anticipation is driving me crazy! Still a little worried that my photos may not measure up to what I’ve seen so far, but hey, at least my lashes will look killer!! As I arrived at the studio, I was greated by Heather Thiessen, my make up artist and Melissa Raimondi, the genius behind Candy and Cream. Any anxiety I had vanished, as it was like I was in the company of long lost friends. Never before, have I been made to feel so comfortable and welcome. Especially as I toted in my accessories, my two dogs, Pixie and Cj. Heather from SMUDGE MAKEUP led me to her chair and got me comfortable while Pixie and Cj played with Melissa and snooped around her studio. Heather brought me a glass of champagne and began to delve into my cosmetic likes and dislikes so she could unleash my strongest features. While Heather worked her magic, Melissa took some photos of the dogs. It was hard not to sneak a peek at what Melissa was doing and even harder to avoid my reflection in the mirror as to not spoil the surprise. I continued to enjoy every minute of pampering and champagne until Heather uttered those magic words…..Your done!!
I was in awe as I glanced into the mirror for the first time! Wow….my eyes…they are so blue. I can’t believe how good I look. Now I am really excited! Next, Melissa led me into her studio. This place is a girls dream come true. It was like dress up for adults. Sexy heels, feather boas, strands of pearls, you name it she has it. There is nothing to worry about if you didn’t bring your own accessories. She has you covered! We started with some photos of me and the dogs then moved on to just me. It was really interesting to see how she creates certain looks and achieves those amazing results. As we moved around the studio from prop to prop and pose to pose, I became more comfortable with each photo taken. This was so much fun! It didn’t take long to get into the grove of things and once I did, I didn’t want to stop. These girls make you feel like a star and treat you like nothing else matters, except YOU! They are both so encouraging that this experience becomes quite empowering.
By the time I knew it an hour and a half of photography had flown by and we were finished. At the end, I had a whole new confidence about myself. Now I had something else to look forward to…..the final product….the photos.
Several weeks went by. One morning I opened up my email to discover a note from Melissa. Ooooh, how exciting!! I eagerly opened it, revealing that my photos were done and the gallery was up. I was so excited I nearly fainted.
As I scrolled through my photos I was astonished! They were amazing! I couldn’t believe it was me. I mean….I really couldn’t believe….thats me! I am absolutley thrilled.
I am so glad I did this! I have not one regret. And on top of this experience, I have a whole new confidence, some amazing pictures, unforgetable memories,and some new friends.
